Donald is deeply committed to creating a brighter future through innovation and compassion, particularly for children with hearing and visual impairments. Inspired by the energy and potential of young minds, he founded 3Netra to empower individuals with disabilities.
Drawing from personal experiences volunteering with organizations like Suhrud Mandal and The Poona School and Home for the Blind in India, Mr. Patra believes in the transformative power of education, sports, culture, and technology.
His mission is to harness cutting-edge technology to enhance the lives of those with disabilities, allowing them to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to society.

The Poona School and Home for the Blind
The idea for 3Netra's AI glasses was born from a deep connection with the Poona School and Home for the Blind in Pune, India. For over eight decades, the school has championed holistic education and independence for visually impaired children, offering not only academic instruction but also life skills, mobility training, and sensory tools. This immersive, student-centered environment revealed the need for assistive technology that supports the full spectrum of daily living.
Inspired by the school's commitment to accessible learning and community-based care, we set out to build a tool that mirrors that same philosophy — intelligent, inclusive, and grounded in real-world use. Our smart glasses are designed to meet the dynamic needs of blind users, just as the school adapts to each child's individual journey.
At 3Netra, we believe assistive technology should be as empowering and holistic as the communities it serves. Our partnership with institutions like the Poona Blind School continues to guide our mission: to build tools that restore agency, dignity, and confidence to the millions who are too often overlooked.
